Caring for your products

Tweed

  • Use a wool & cashmere spray to freshen garment between washes.
  • Professional dry clean tweed garments only.
  • Store in zip lock bags over the summer months to avoid moths.

Cashmere & Wool

  • Do not put in a washing machine.
  • For best results, we recommend hand washing in cold water – maximum temperature 30c/86f , using a specialised wool/cashmere detergent.
  • Gently squeeze suds under water – do not rub or twist.
  • Rinse thoroughly with cold water and dry flat to avoid losing shape.
  • Avoid contact with heat or direct sunlight.
  • Fold up and store as hanging garment will stretch.
  • Store in zip lock bags over the summer months to avoid moths.
  • Do not tumble dry.

All cashmere, no matter how good the quality, is prone to pilling. Gently run a cashmere comb over the garment to pick up bobbles.


Boots

  • To clean, brush off excess mud with a leather/suede brush
  • Wipe with a damp cloth
  • Use Collonil soft cleaner to remove all dirt and surplus.
  • Use a leather waterproofing gel or spray to protect the leather again day to day scuffs , dirt and wet.
  • Let boots dry naturally

Due to the nature of leather there will be variations of colour between each garment. All of our boots are unique and the leather skins for each boot are hand selected. The variations of the leather is part of the charm of each piece.


Suede & Shearling

  • Use Collonil carbon Pro waterproof spray to treat the suede for added protection.
  • You can also use a suede brush or suede block to bring back the pile of the suede or remove minor marks.
  • Professionally dry clean for more serious stains or marks.
  • Leather is slightly more resilient than suede but still needs care.
  • Avoid saturating the garment in water and if it does become wet then brush off excess water and hang to dry.
  • We recommend you try to avoid getting any of your shearling wet as this is a natural product.
  • If you do get your shearling wet, hang to dry, away from strong heat.
  • Store all natural products garments in a dry warm place. Give the garment room to prevent it from being squashed.
  • For added protection when storing for longer lengths of time, store in a garment bag.

Silk

  • Cold handwash using a silk/delicate shampoo or detergent.
  • Do not bleach, soak or tumble-dry.
  • Iron gently on the backside, using the silk setting on the iron.
  • Dry in the shade and store on a well-shaped hanger away from direct sunlight.
