Our very quirky and British model, Laura Coleman, was the chosen face of our AW20 country shoot and our perfect English rose for the countryside. We caught up with Laura to learn a bit more about her and introduce her to our #REALLYWILDWOMEN.
Open minded, fun loving and kind.
Melton Mowbray in Leicestershire (home of pork pies and Stilton cheese 😉
Yes, I have always loved the countryside. I grew up loving fishing, horse riding, and doing all sorts of country pursuits.
Horse riding is my favourite sport ! I love to play polo too. I miss not being able to do it as much now I live in London.
Stapleford Park Country Hotel in Leicestershire has a special place in my heart. It was my first job working there as a waitress when I was 15. I adore the place and I actually got married there last year!
Since first visiting London properly as a young teen I felt such a thrill from the city. My father bought me down when I first started out modeling and taught me how to use the tube and such likes. I couldn’t believe how fast the trains were, and the general hustle-bustle. I found the whole experience magical and exhilarating. Albeit very different from my quiet life near Melton Mowbray! I fell in love with the open-mindedness of the people here and how you could wear what you wanted, do what you wanted and be how you wanted without anybody batting an eyelid. I think the vibe of London in general is super unique. Even when I’m sat at home here there is always a buzz, and I just don’t ever feel bored. I feel so lucky to live in such an amazing and diverse city and have all sorts of wonderful food and fun things to do right on the doorstep.
Depends what I’m in the mood for as there’s just so many to choose from!!
Some of my current favourites;
At home with my dogs! I’m such a homebody. Shopping in Notting Hill, or at a Soho house.
I don’t have just one moment, I feel so grateful and lucky to have so many great experiences, travel, meet some lovely creative people and get to do a job that I love.
I love fashion and love to wear as much vintage and second hand as I can. You can get some amazing things that other people don’t have, create your own style and be sustainable all at the same time.
So many ! I love Florence, Kate Moss, Stevie Nicks, Bridget Bardot… Anything 60s/70s.
Sustainability is everything! Especially with the way our planet is going currently. We need to be sustainable to help our future generations. I always preach that I would much rather have one quality item of a higher price, that lasts forever, looks chic and timeless from a fab brand. Just like Really Wild. 🙂
I just love the V-neck dress in Mauve Ditsy! The sleeve detail and fit of the dress are just so cool, timeless, and effortless. It looks great worn with a leather jacket/long shearling, can be paired with heels or boots, such a versatile item.
It was great to be in the outdoors in the British countryside shooting this campaign. Lovely team and amazing photographer! So many funny moments running through muddy fields!
