Natalie’s WILD winter Heroes

Autumn is one of my favourite times of the year.  Misty mornings burn off to reveal the changing colours of the fields and woodlands and Winter berries start to appear amongst the hedgerows in a myriad of rich hues. My love and passion for the great outdoors has always been evident in my designs.

Really Wild’s foundations have been built around the colours and textures you see in the WILD and this constantly inspires me, complimenting my designs with tweeds from some of Scotland’s oldest mills to the iconic Liberty silks we are privileged to incorporate in to our collections.  I am keener than ever to keep these ancient techniques that reflect our glorious countryside traditions alive.

I have never wavered on our commitment to quality, sustainability and versatility, particularly in these challenging times we are currently experiencing.  More than ever I think we need comfort from the clothes we wear.  We use natural biodegradable fibres such as 100% cashmeres and silks that all feel wonderful against your skin, united with our elegant, contemporary style that is synonymous to RW and that works so well both in the great outdoors or for a day in the city.

This season I have chosen my favourite pieces that I am confident will transform your wardrobe with ease in to cold weather style whether you are seeing friends virtually or spending your time outdoors.  Most importantly I feel these pieces capture the spirit of the WILD and will leave you longing for the crisp cold days set to come.  Look out for our Christmas collection launching very soon!

1. STAPLE COAT

Albion Coat – I love this coat for its versatility, dress it up with the detachable faux fur collar for a wild time if one is lucky enough to enjoy a winter country break in one of our great UK country hotels or for a more relaxed look, I would remove the faux fur collar and style it with a pair of jeans, and a knit. The 100% wool fabric is made from one of our Scottish Mills in a soft warm herringbone tweed. I particularly like the fact that you can button it up to the collar – great to keep the chill out!

2. COSY CASHMERE

Cashmere Roll neck in coral – this knit is a bit of a treat in 4 ply cashmere – super-soft cashmere at its best. I love it that’s it made in Scotland using the most luxurious yarns.

3. TRANSITIONAL SILKS

Folk shirt in blue paisley – this silk satin Liberty fabric is so luxurious to wear especially worn with the new styled flared jeans and tan suede ankle boots for a more up to date look. Great with a pair of trainers too to make a more relaxed look. Again, I love the versatility of this shirt. The soft colours in shades of blue and taupe’s makes it easy to put things with.

Asymmetric long skirt in teal meadow – this skirt is one of those additions in a wardrobe that one never tires of, again the autumnal colours are some of my favourites. It also has a matching shirt which I wear together for an evening out when my husband spoils me with a diner out – a very rare treat in these difficult times. But it is lovely to have the excuse to be able to dress up!

4. TRUSTY BIKER BOOTS

A pair of our biker boots in brown leather is my winter essential, not only for their practicality with their water-resistant leather and rubber soles but also for their style.

5. LUXURY WRAP

Luxury wrap in denim moss tartan – for extra warmth our wraps add a touch of glamour and are a practical addition to any wardrobe when it’s especially chilly – can be worn inside or out. These colours are my favourites and look great styled with jeans and a jumper. For a dressier look, I often wear with a coat.
